Many who aren’t familiar with Deadmau5 outside of his music production accomplishments would probably wonder what he’s doing at Comic-Con. But his true fans know that he not only loves video games, but is rather masterful at them as well. Just look at his Diablo III career– within his busy schedule of being a millionaire music producer, he’s somehow managed to rank among the top 50 of Diablo III players. Nuts!

Before hitting the show floor, Deadmau5 was kind enough to join us at Petco Park to talk everything from his favorite game genre, fitting games into his successful music career, what kicked off his video game career, what franchise he’d like to see receive big screen treatment, and more. We even got to hear his side of the funny PlayStation Vita “debacle” from a few years ago.

Here’s an interesting tidbit that was left on the cutting room floor: when asked what video game character he would let into his immediate family, Deadmau5 immediately replied with Chain Chomp.
