Dead Singer Holograms Cover Modern Hits in SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE Sketch

Just because you’ve been dead for decades that doesn’t mean we can’t find ways to profit off of you, which is why you’ll want to grab Dead Bopz: Today’s Biggest Hits Sung By The Deceased. This album utilizes that wonderful “new science from the ’90s,” holograms, to have long-gone stars sing modern hits, no matter how inappropriate that music may be to their image and legacy.

This Saturday Night Live sketch features a hologram Bing Crosby (played by Beck Bennett) telling us all about the exciting new album, the one that finally satiates that desire you’ve never actually had to see and hear beloved, dead musicians’ have their likeness and memories desecrated.

So what dead performers can you hear on Dead Bopz? The tracklist includes:

Tupac is the Neil Armstrong of dead hologram singers, but I bet wherever the real Tupac is living right now he probably isn’t thrilled with the idea of him singing a Taylor Swift song. The real shame is that this will probably be a real thing one day. Which impression was your favorite? I’m giving my vote to Killam’s Roy Orbinson. Tell us yours in the comments below.
