DEAD RISING: ENDGAME Offers a New Kind of Zombie Threat (Exclusive Preview)

Later this month, Sony’s Crackle and Legendary Digital Media are reentering the world of Capcom’s Dead Rising in a new movie, Dead Rising: Endgame. This film is the sequel to last year’s Dead Rising: Watchtower. And while Jesse Metcalfe’s Chase Carter survived the events of the first movie, not everyone is gonna make it out of the next phase of this zombie apocalypse!

In a newly released exclusive video from Dead Rising: Endgame, Chase and his girlfriend Sandra Lowe (Marie Avgeropoulos) are joined by George Hancock (Ian Tracey) and Garth (Patrick Sabongui) as they come across an unusually fast and attentive zombie. Unlike other members of the shuffling dead, this zombie can’t be distracted and he’s probably faster now than he was when he was alive! Let’s just say that this is going to end quite badly for one of our heroes. But if anyone has any Zombrex handy then perhaps the person in question won’t turn…at least right away.

Dead Rising: Endgame and Dead Rising: Watchtower are slightly more serious than the game series that inspired them. Much like the Resident Evil movies, the focus is primarily on new characters who were created for the live-action stories. However, Rob Riggle had a small role in Watchtower as Dead Rising’s original leading man, Frank West. Dead Rising: Endgame will feature the debut of Victor Webster as Chuck Greene, the hero of Dead Rising 2.

Returning from the first film are Keegan Connor Tracy as Chase’s producer, Jordan, and former 24 star Dennis Haysbert as General Lyons, the man who will do anything to prevent Chase from exposing his involvement with the zombie plague. Dead Rising: Endgame will premiere on Crackle on June 20, but you can screen it early at E3 this week!
