DC Impresses with New GOTHAM Trailer

Over the weekend, Warner Brothers and DC rocked the Comic-Con house with the world’s first look at Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill as Batman and Superman in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. But while the company’s latest feature film is two years away, we can still get a taste of some DC sweetness starting this fall with Fox’s Gotham. In case you missed it, the studio has released an all new trailer for the upcoming series. Feast your eyes on the latest look at Fox’s take on Jim Gordon’s origin story:

With the show now in full-blown production mode, the pieces of what it will (and can) be are starting to come together. That clip at the end of soon-to-be Penguin, Oswald Cobblepot walking up to the car and exchanging a quick line with the young men that picked him up really gives an idea of the tone the series is going for. Things will be dark and gritty, but there will be also be time to laugh at the ridiculousness of the whole thing.

Its premiere is still a little over two months away, but we seriously can’t wait for Gotham to finally hit the airwaves in September. Word around the block is it’s a solid series that’s really trying to do something different with the Batman lore, and we’re totally open for that.
