DARKWING DUCK Takes Over for the Dark Knight in BATMAN V SUPERMAN Crossover

Somewhere some villain schemes, but his number’s up, because a champion of right is waiting to swoop out of the shadows to own the night. He may not be Batman, but Darkwing Duck is pretty darn close. That’s why there was no one better suited to fill in for the Dark Knight on the latest episode of our Alpha series Talkin’ Toons.

In this new clip from the show, host Rob Paulsen was joined by fellow legendary voice actor Jim Cummings, playing his beloved but bumbling superhero Darkwing Duck. To be more precise, Cummings actually graced Talkin’ Toons with Darkwing Duck’s alter ago, Drake Mallard, who subbed in for Ben Affleck the scene from Batman v Superman when Clark Kent confronts Bruce Wayne about the “bat vigilante.” If that weren’t enough, Cummings introduced the segment as another of his fan favorite characters: Winnie the Pooh.

Yup, Jim Cummings is both the guy who struck fear in the hearts of St. Canard’s evil-doers and who warmed your heart all those years spent in the Hundred Acre Wood (not to mention in the new Christopher Robin teaser). Because voice actors are amazing.

If you want to see the rest of Rob’s interview with Jim, you can only watch episodes of Talkin’ Toons at our online Alpha community. It’s just one of our many great shows there, and your first 30 days are free when you sign up for the first time. Even Darkwing Duck couldn’t screw up that offer.

What other superhero should Darkwing Duck take over for? Don’t keep your ideas in the shadows, share them with us in the comments below.
