Daft Punk Rolls Out More Awesome Vintage-Style Merch Posters

It’s been nearly three years since Daft Punk released their fourth studio album Random Access Memories and “Get Lucky” was playing on virtually every speaker capable of producing sound. There’s no word yet about a fifth album, but one area where the band is succeeding is brand recognition. The French electronic duo is managing to keep their name in the news, all thanks to the greatest lesson that Spaceballs had to offer: how to successfully merchandise.

The band just made several new products available in their online store, and now they’re promoting them with some delightfully retro posters. Daft Punk now offers branded polo shirts, baseball hats, skate decks, and rings that look like their famous helmets. Each product got its own nifty old-school image, which the band shared on their dedicated @daftpunkstore Instagram account. The images are stylized like magazine ads from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s, incorporating vintage-style illustrations, classic-looking fonts, and layouts similar to advertisements in the magazines your parents read in high school.

Daft Punk actually started this promotional blitz and introduced their attention-grabbing online store last November, and they sell just about anything they could put their name on: hoodies, pens, buttons, Frisbees, yo-yos, t-shirts, coffee mugs, holiday ornaments, artwork, tote bags, magnets, belt buckles… like we said, pretty much everything.

Check out the new ads below, and let us know in the comments if anything in Daft Punk’s store catches your eye. We’d love a yo-yo, mainly because the ninja kid in the ad makes it look so unreal cool.
