CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM Season 9 Trailer Shows Larry Being Thrown Out of Everywhere

Some people get wiser with age, and some grow a little bit kinder. Some use their later years to reflect on who they are as a person and how they want to be remembered by the world. Larry David is not any of those people. As the new trailer for the long-, long-awaited ninth season of Curb Your Enthusiasm shows, being away from the spotlight for a few years didn’t do anything to change him for the better. If anything, he seems to have become even worse… and a lot more physical.

So what’s on tap this year? “Yoo hooing” a judge, telling a crying woman to “shut up” at a funeral, debating the severity of constipation, and being kicked out of everywhere he goes by very angry people. So like we said, things haven’t really changed.

“You are devoid of anything that’s remotely caring or empathetic.”
“That is a great compliment.”

One other thing that clearly hasn’t changed about the show is its usually rogues gallery of celebrities on the ready for guest appearances. Some as themselves, like Richard Lewis, and others as original characters, like Carrie Brownstein as Larry’s assistant and Bryan Cranston as his exhausted therapist. Naturally, series regulars like Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, and J.B. Smoove are also back, ditto Bob Einstein as the incomparably voiced Marty Funkhauser.

The new season of Curb Your Enthusiasm debuts on HBO on October 1st. What’s your favorite episode of the series? Let us know in the comments section below.
