CRIMSON PEAK Window Displays are a Visual Feast

Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak was just released into the big wide open, receiving mostly positive reviews that praised its lurid and ghastly retro-thriller feel. The film takes place in the aftermath of a family tragedy, where an aspiring author tries to escape the demons of her past. She’s eventually swept away to a remote Gothic mansion in the English hills, and marries a charming man who harbors dangerous secrets that she must uncover to keep her sanity intact. The cast includes major players; Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Tom Hiddleston.

As you well know, del Toro is known for making films that are rich in visual imagery as well as story (Pan’s Labyrinth, Pacific Rim, etc) so if you haven’t seen this one yet, perhaps these Bergdorf Goodman window displays will peak (sorry) your interest. They’re all inspired by the film, and feature the biggest names in the art world, such as Oscar De La Renta, Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Saint Laurent and more.

The detail in this display is so intricate; the colors are truly eye-popping. I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like it. Incidentally, it’s a reminder to visit a haunted house this Halloween!

Like what you see? There’s more where that came from. Be sure to visit the gallery below, and check out Crimson Peak starting tomorrow.
