Conan Gets A Walker Make Over for Last Night’s WALKING DEAD Themed Cold Open

The Walking Dead returns to AMC this Sunday, but the virus plaguing Rick and company has already claimed its next victim: late night host Conan O’Brien.

Last night on Conan, O’Brien welcomed the cast of the hit show in an all out zombified episode, beginning with a fantastic cold open featuring the host in full walker mode. Major props for the opening credits sequence, as well as the live rendition of The Walking Dead theme played by The Basic Cable Band, as Conan took the stage before chatting with Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Melissa McBride, Lauren Cohan, and Danai Gurira.

Perhaps the quality of that makeup job has something to do with the fact that it was done by no less than Greg Nicotero himself. Hey, while you’re at it, watch Greg’s appearance on Blood and Guts with Scott Ian on the Nerdist Channel for more on creating that walker makeup/

The Walking Dead returns to AMC this Sunday and is followed by the return of Talking Dead hosted by Chris Hardwick.
