Coming to NerdMelt: The Grawlix, Brent Weinbach, and FIRST COMES LOVE

Hello again, readers. Our last post for NerdMelt highlighted the first 2/3rds or so of June, but we are back to round out the rest of the month with some fantastic shows coming your way. Without farther ado, let’s take a look at the rest of June. As always, tickets for these shows are $8 in advance and $10 at the door unless otherwise noted below.

The Grawlix – Saturday, June 20th – 9pm

Before the premiere of their TRUtv series, Those Who Can’t, Denver natives The Grawlix will be performing at NerdMelt. The three-man comedy troupe consists of Adam Cayton-Holland, Ben Roy, and Andrew Orvedahl. Their style of stand up/sketch video comedy will be sure to please, but they are also bringing some friends along to play as well. Friends like Chris Charpentier, Kate Berlant, and Ron Funches will make sure this is a night to remember.

An Evening With Brent Weinbach – Tuesday, June 23rd – 9pm

One of our favorite stand ups, Brent Weinbach, will be bringing a longer set to the NerdMelt crowd. This LA local has not only won the Andy Kaufman Award, but done the late night circuit and toured with The Comedians Of Comedy. Brent’s witty topics and dry delivery place him in a class among some of the greats, and makes for a show that needs to seen. Brent will be joined by openers Kate Berlant, Fahim Anwar, and Andrew Michaan. Get ready for quite a night.

First Comes Love – Friday, June 26th – 9pm

In what may be one of the greatest concepts to date, comedian Kyle Ayers brings his experimental comedy show to NerdMelt. First Comes Love is the result of Kyle posting an ad on CraigsList looking for amateur writers to submit scripts for porn. Those scripts are then read and some-what acted out, verbatim, on stage by comedians. First Comes Love sold out every show it did in New York City, and was deemed one of the best comedy shows around by The Village Voice. Kyle will get some help this time around by the likes of Dan St. Germain, Nicole Aimee Schreiber, Danny Jolles, Ramy Youssef, Emmy Blotnick, Marina Shifrin, and more. Be sure not to miss this one!

Alright, readers, it was a short one this time around, but be sure to look out soon for our next round up of shows and comedians coming your way at NerdMelt.
