CM Punk Power Naps His Way Through THE WALKING DEAD ESCAPE at Comic-Con

The zombie apocalypse is an unforgiving wasteland of death, destruction, and gore. However, for those who believe that future would be the most awesome thing ever (and there are many), every year at San Diego Comic-Con, the good folks behind AMC’s The Walking Dead put on a fan-beloved zombie run. Throughout the course, attendees encounter the infected, the wounded, the medics, the army, and everything in between, all leading to an end that none of them will ever see coming. (Of course, it is the zombie apocalypse, so you should always expect the unexpected.) But with any hoard of surviving masses, there must be a leader. Someone to guide the unguided and frightened to safety… and this particular group of survivors got CM Punk.

During this year’s con, we watched as CM slowly came around to the nerd side of things. By the end of the week, he had even turned himself into the ultimate Comic-Con attendee. To celebrate his newfound geekdom, we sent Mr. Punk to The Walking Dead Escape zombie run, just to see how helpful the man could really be against certain death. As you might expect, Punk is more interested in power naps than getting people to safety… though, we can’t really blame him. In the zombie apocalypse, it’s every man and woman for themselves. That’s rule one, it’s in the manual.

If you missed this year’s Walking Dead Escape, fret not, for San Diego Comic-Con 2015 is only nine months away! We’re sure there will be plenty more zombies to run from by then.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9/8c on AMC.

I wouldn’t say newfound geekdom Punk is really into comics and stuff . He even used to yell ” IT’S CLOBBERING TIME !!” before his matches
