Clips of DOCTOR WHO ‘The Witch’s Familiar’ Have Lots of Davros

Isn’t it lovely to be back in that time of year when I can say ‘Doctor Who is on tonight!”? I sure think it is. After last week’s explosive premiere episode, “The Magician’s Apprentice,” it became pretty clear this was going to be a two-parter for the ages. In order to get you even more excited for “The Witch’s Familiar” airing Saturday night at 9pm ET/PT on BBC America, the network has released a couple of clips for the new episode.

The first one (above) shows just how far the Doctor might be willing to go now that the people and things he loves most in the universe have been taken from him, shouting at Davros to get out a place where he clearly can’t leave, since, you know, it’s where he’s been sitting for the past who-knows-how-long and is powering the entire Dalek society.

But, if the second clip is any indication, the Doctor may have been more persuasive than we thought in the next clip.

You know what it takes to make Daleks scared? Well, not much, actually; but, do you know what it takes to scare a Dalek Supreme? Having the source of all their power being moved somewhere else. Gotta love it when those hateful pepper pots are full of consternation.

And finally for today we have Peter Capaldi discussing what it’s like for him, a lifelong Doctor Who fan, to be playing opposite such a huge and important villain as Davros, what Julian Bleech is like to work with, and what the relationship between the Doctor and Davros really means.

All of this adds up to an episode I’m really stoked to check out, and hopefully you are too. Let me know what you think will happen in “The Witch’s Familiar” in the comments below and be sure to come back here after you’ve watched the episode for my review!
