Could A Classic Avenger Be Secretly Joining Up In ENDGAME?

With Avengers: Endgame only a few months away, we still know very little about what to expect when it finally hits theaters. According to Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige, the trailer released a month ago only revealed scenes from the first fifteen or twenty minutes of the film!

Nevertheless, rumors have run rampant about the possibility that a secret Avenger will be joining the ranks of the team in the fourth installment. And…could it be longtime member Dane Whitman, better known to Marvel Comics fans as the winged horse riding Black Knight?

In today’s Nerdist News, we examine all the clues, and it does seem to all add up to something. Remember, the Avengers we’ve seen in the movies so far have all come from the historic first 100 issues of the title published back in the 1960s. Those heroes, gathered together by Stan Lee and Roy Thomas, are still viewed as the most iconic Avengers, despite many characters joining up later. And from that iconic line-up, there are only two members who have not shown up yet in the MCU: Hercules, who is rumored heavily for The Eternals, and the Black Knight. Is it finally his time to swing the Ebony Blade on the big screen?

Of course, we also know that Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, who was introduced in Thor: Rangnarok and was mysteriously absent for Infinity War, is coming back for the big finale. Could she be the one to swing the fabled sword on the side of the good guys for the big final battle? We sure wouldn’t hate that either! Whatever happens, the Avengers ranks are sure to swell in time for the grand finale this summer.
