We have a feeling that once we get our hands on some real-life Pym particles and everyone is Ant-Man-ing themselves on a day-to-day basis, we’ll eventually just want to find a nice, cozy, tiny place to curl up and read a good book. Thankfully for our future diminutive selves, a Los Angeles-based artist is already creating some amazing tree houses for the inch-high population.

Artist Jedediah Corwyn Voltz has taken up the hobby of building tree houses for his potted houseplants. Voltz recently told Slate.com that he creates these mini masterpieces with scrap left over from his job making miniatures for stop-motion animation productions. And he’s not just piecing together bits that just look like tree houses from afar. The detail Voltz puts into these sculptures is absolutely astonishing; he basically furnishes them with all the tiny odds and ends one would expect to put into a normal-sized tree house.

It’s an odd thing to realize that some of these creations are nicer than most apartments I’ve had throughout my life. Either someone needs to get to work on those Pym particles, or I hit the lottery, commission a gigantic ceramic pot to be crafted around a full-sized tree capable of holding a real tree house. The first floor could be in the planter with the tree house portion serving as the sleeping quarters! (Weird that this is the more realistic of the two scenarios.)
