Check Out TEEN TITANS: THE JUDAS CONTRACT Trailer and Clip, and More Movie News

It’s a good time to be a fan of DC animation. The reportedly excellent Justice League Dark arrived on home video this week, Justice League Action packs plenty of laughs and excitement into each weekly 15-minute episode on Cartoon Network, The LEGO Batman Movie is in theaters this weekend, and now we have a brand-new trailer and clip from Teen Titans: The Judas Contract, based on the classic comic tale of the same name. Also in today’s Movie Morsels, a casting update on the Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Film, a new clip from John Wick: Chapter: 2, and much more!

Teen Titans: The Judas Contract

One of DC’s all-time greatest superhero sagas is adapted for the screen at last. I’m speaking of writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez’s New Teen Titans storyline “The Judas Contract.” While some of the characters and costumes have been modified from the original tale, I think, after watching the following trailer and clip, you’ll agree that the company’s latest animated film has remained true to the spirit of its source material. Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Film

Fleabag

And the latest name to join the cast of Lucasfilm’s first solo Han Solo movie is…Pheobe Waller-Bridge, the star of the Amazon series Fleabag (pictured above). The actress will do voice and motion-capture work for a CG character, like Alan Tudyk’s K-2SO in Rogue One. Start placing those bets on whether Waller-Bridge will play an alien or a droid!

John Wick: Chapter 2

Okay, the John Clip: Chapter 2 marketing campaign just got real. So quit your grinnin’ and drop your linen — we got ourselves a standoff here between Keanu Reeves and Common. Enjoy!

The Beguiled

Don Siegel’s The Beguiled, starring Clint Eastwood and Shirley MacLaine, isn’t one of the director’s best-known films, but its tale of a wounded Civil War soldier nursed back to health at an all-girls boarding school positively overflows with sexual repression and creepiness. Both of these characteristics seem to have been captured quite adequately by Sofia Coppola in her remake, starring Colin Farrell and Nicole Kidman. Here’s the first trailer…

The LEGO Batman Movie

The LEGO Batman Sings

Finally today, even when he’s not voicing LEGO Batman, Will Arnett is the baddest mofo alive. Want proof? Arnett appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this week to walk barefoot across a bed of LEGO bricks. Suck it, Chuck Norris!
