Cartoon Network Announces ADVENTURE TIME VR Game

Cartoon Network is now venturing into the virtual reality realm with the announcement of Adventure Time: Magic Man’s Head Games, based on the hit cartoon series. Inspired by classic platforming gameplay, all those dreams you’ve had of exploring the Land of Ooo are becoming a virtual reality.

Fans of the show will also be excited to know that all of the original voice actors lend their vocals to the game. It’s time to grab your Samsung Gear VR and have some fun (even if you do look a bit mathematical wearing the head gear).

“Core to Cartoon Network’s strategy is our commitment to innovate and expand our content offerings and distribution platforms so that fans can immerse themselves in our brands and characters however and whenever they choose,” says President and GM of Cartoon Network, Christina Miller. “This first-to-market virtual reality game joins a roster of other industry-leading apps and digital experiences that have made Cartoon Network the first-choice for plurals looking for highly-engaging games and new content experiences.”

With virtual reality technology set to reach exponentially more homes in the next couple of years, you can expect companies to increasingly prioritize this sort of content. Eventually this software is going to become the norm. Yes, software that lets you live a whole lifetime as a half-pillow person.

And this space is going to get even more interesting when more traditional gaming rigs finally enter the market, especially if all the Nintendo NX rumors are true.

Will you be trying this title out? What do you think about the gameplay? Let us know in the comments below.
