Last season on The Flash, Carlos Valdesâ Cisco Ramon earned a reputation for giving superheroes and villains nicknames that lined up with their comic book counterparts. But Cisco also has a comic book counterpart, and a destiny that he may not want to explore.
In a new video for the upcoming second season of The Flash, Valdes touches upon Ciscoâs emerging metahuman abilities and he seems to indicate that they will be the focus of Ciscoâs story this season. The video also revisits the incident that awakened Ciscoâs powers: his murder at the hands of Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) in an alternate timeline, which the Cisco of this timeline remembers in great detail.
âItâs something that Cisco has great difficulty coming to terms with,â said Valdes. âItâs very interesting because Cisco is the ultimate fanboy and he expresses this undying love for the heroes that he works with and that surround him. Now when heâs faced with a similar fate, he doesnât know how to handle it.â
Because Cisco has been the comic relief and the heart of The Flash, casual fans may not realize that he is based on the DC superhero known as Vibe. Behold Ciscoâs destiny!
Well…hopefully heâll get a better costume on the TV show. As for the design…it was the â80s. Thatâs really all that needs to be said about it. You should also probably ignore his pre-New 52 comic book history as a former gang member and a breakdancer.
Flash fans, do you want to see Cisco become more a superhero on the show? See through the vibrations and share your opinions below!
