CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Deleted Scene Shows Winter Soldier Wielding Cap’s Shield

We’re feeling pretty patriotic in today’s Movie Morsels. Because in anticipation of next month’s release of Captain America: Civil War on Blu-ray, we’ve got a just-released deleted scene from the film, featuring the Winter Soldier and the good Captain himself! Plus, the latest from Thor: Ragnarok‘s production in Australia, new posters for the horror sequel Rings, and much more…

Captain America: Civil War

Available as a digital download on September 2 and on Blu-ray on September 13, Captain America: Civil War is by far the year’s most anticipated home video release of a superhero film. To help get you even more excited for its release, Entertainment Weekly has unveiled one of the deleted scenes we’ll find on the disc. In rough-cut form, here’s a great little sequence with Cap and the Winter Soldier, featuring cameos from Black Widow, War Machine, and Falcon…

As EW points out, the above scene could one day be viewed as an ominous bit of foreshadowing, should Cap ever get killed (or Chris Evans simply choose not to renew his contract) and Bucky replace him, as once happened in the comics. In sunnier news, here’s a behind-the-scenes video, which will also be available on the Civil War Blu-ray, that highlights the Scarlet Witch and the Vision’s slowly budding romance…

Thor: Ragnarok
A generous helping of photos and video from the set of Thor: Ragnarok in Brisbane has landed online recently. And though the following vid doesn’t exactly shed new light on the production, it’s by far the most rewarding thing I’ve seen so far from the film, since it features stars Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston visiting the city’s children’s hospital…

Rings

Today we have not one but two new posters for the upcoming continuation of the U.S. Ring franchise. Rings, set 13 years after The Ring Two, shows what happens when the curse of Samara enters a world where people rely on the internet for communication just as much as they used to rely on their telephones. Director F. Javier Gutiérrez’s film hits theaters on October 28.

The Disappointments Room

And while we’re talking horror, director D.J. Caruso’s long-delayed The Disappointments Room finally arrives in theaters on September 9. It stars a blonde Kate Beckinsale as a wife and mother (who may or may not have a history of mental illness) who moves into a new home with her family only to find it holds some dreadful secrets. Yeah, I know it’s not the most original-sounding premise, but hey, Legends of Tomorrow star and Stoker screenwriter Wentworth Miller wrote the screenplay, so it has that going for it. Anyway, here’s the film’s trailer…

Morgan

Finally today, we’ll leave you with fresh footage from yet another thriller. Here are two new video promos for September 2’s Morgan, starring Kate Mara as a corporate troubleshooter in a tale of bioengineering gone very wrong. Enjoy!
