Bryan Cranston Visited COLBERT Dressed Like The Red POWER RANGER

If you’ve always dreamed of being a Power Ranger growing up, you’d think that getting to be in the new big budget Hollywood reboot would be good enough to satiate that desire. But it turns out that when you are Hollywood royalty like Bryan Cranston, and you already have a history with the show, being the disembodied floating head Zordon doesn’t fill that need, which is why he decided to dress up like the Red Ranger when visiting Stephen Colbert on The Late Show.

Cranston came out for his interview in the classic (a.k.a. the best) Red Ranger costume, though it turns out morphin’ into and out of it is way easier with the power of video editing than it is in real life. A superhero’s intimidation factor wanes quite a bit when he needs help getting his helmet off.

The interview was full of silliness, with Cranston explaining how he gives each of his roles a certain amount of dignity, and that’s why he filmed all of his Gordon scenes for the Power Rangers movie completely naked (just a joke, we think).

However, the best part of the whole segment was when Colbert showed Cranston’s past with the American TV series, which included the Breaking Bad star giving voice to villains as part of the dub over from the Japanese version. (Unless you think the thirty year old soap commercial featuring Cranston in a skunk costume was even better, or if that honor goes to the very bizarre photo from his upcoming movie with Kevin Hart. In any case we aren’t going to argue with you.)

Because really, when you have Bryan Cranston dressed like the Red Ranger, every part is the best part.

This silly segment has us thinking, what other actors would you want to see join Bryan Cranston in an older take on the Power Rangers? Help us fantasy cast that version in the comments below.
