Still baffled by the Brony phenomenon? From the documentary Bronies: The Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony comes this Gilbert and Sullivan parody ditty, “Let’s Go and Meet the Bronies,” written by Lauren Faust herself with Amy Keating Rogers and Zachary Lobertini and sung by Q… er, John DeLancie (who, besides his Star Trek: The Next Generation fame, is the voice of the very Q-like Discord on MLP:FIM and is the host and Executive Producer of the documentary) and Tara Strong (also an Executive Producer of the documentary — as is Faust — and, of course, the voice of, like, half the animated characters out there). The lyrics cover the whys and hows and the various subcategories of Bronys — creatives, moderates, and hipsters — not to mention the female component of Brony culture.
It’s still all kinda strange to those of us among the uninitiated, but at least it’s a primer on the basics of the Brony thing, sung to the tune of “I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General.” Because. Sure. Why not? And you can get the full documentary by clicking here.
