While I wasn’t one of the lucky ones who caught the seventeen minutes of brand new Guardians of the Galaxy footage screened at select theaters this evening (Here’s Brian Walton‘s  recap of the IMAX Guardians Footage), I have watched this new extended Guardians of the Galaxy trailer at least seventeen times, so that’s got to count for something, right? Courtesy of Fandango and set to the sweet strains of The Runaways’ “Cherry Bomb”, this is a practically Groot-sized trailer, jam-packed with new footage and weighing in at a hefty two minutes and twenty-eight seconds. Honestly, it’s almost criminal that we’ll have to wait until after Comic-Con to experience James Gunn‘s cosmic action-comedy, but they say that good things come to those who wait, and this is looking like one hell of a good thing.
How rad was that? Plus, we get a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it look at Michael Rooker‘s Yondu. And this time it wasn’t taken by a creepy paparazzo with a telephoto lens!
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy opens in theaters on August 1, 2014.

Yes that was a cliffhanger reference. Joking aside, this is looking more and more epic!! This is also going to have a Cameo from Nathan Fillion and an appearance from the man himself, Thanos. Too much epic win for one film!! Pumped and excited!!
