BOOM! Studios Reveals Exclusives for Both WonderCon and Awesome Con

As a comic book publisher that marches to its own drum, BOOM! Studios has just unveiled the exclusive covers it will offer at no less than two — that’s right, count ’em, two! — conventions this weekend. This feat’s all the more impressive when one considers these cons will take place on opposite sides of the country. Yes, the boys and girls at BOOM! will have a booth, creators, panels, signings, and sketch opportunities at both WonderCon in Anaheim, California (at which the whole Nerdist team will also have its very own booth) and Awesome Con in Washington, D.C. on April 18th through 20th. There’s a little something for everyone at these shows, with titles like Adventure Time, Herobear and the Kid, Bravest Warriors, Lumberjanes, and Translucid. Take a peek at the con-exclusive covers:

At Awesome Con, BOOM! will be at Booth 421 with Brooke Allen (Lumberjanes), Ian McGinty (Adventure Time: Candy Capers), and Jerry Gaylord (Loki: Ragnarok & Roll, Fanboys Vs. Zombies) on hand.

At WonderCon, they’ll be at Booth 319 with Eric M. Esquivel (Loki: Ragnarok & Roll, Bravest Warriors, Freelancers), Megan Hutchison (An Aurora Grimeon Story: Will O’ The Wisp), Michael Alan Nelson (Day Men, 28 Days Later, Protocol: Orphans), Mike Kunkel (Herobear And The Kid), and Noelle Stevenson (Lumberjanes, Adventure Time).

In addition, there’ll be signings at WonderCon with R.J. Ryan (2-3p Friday 5-6p Saturday, 11:30a-12:30p Sunday), Claudio Sanchez and Chondra Echert (5-6p Friday, 3-4p Saturday, 1-2p Sunday, all ticketed- get tickets at the booth on the day of the desired signing), Steven Grant (1-2p Saturday), and Natasha Allegri (3:30-4:30p Sunday); Sketch artists Hannah Nance Partlow and Kassandra Heller will also be there, and fans can get custom sketches to be drawn on blank Adventure Time Get-A-Sketch covers for $20.

BOOM! panels at WonderCon include “We Are BOOM!” on Saturday (3:30 PM, Room 208), with VP of Publishing and Marketing Filip Sablik and Editor-In-Chief Matt Gagnon talking about the company’s recent activity and future plans, and “Redefining All-Ages Comics” on Sunday (11:30 AM, Room 203), with KaBOOM! Editor Shannon Watters moderating and creators Mike Kunkel (Herobear And The Kid), Natasha Allegri (Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake), and Noelle Stevenson (Adventure Time).

And WonderCon portfolio reviews with BOOM! personnel include Saturday (12:30-1:30 PM, Room 206 B) with Assistant Editor Whitney Leopard and Editor Rebecca Taylor and Sunday (12:30-1:30 PM, Room 206 B) with Editor Shannon Watters.
