BOB’S BURGERS Will Have a One-Hour Christmas Special Featuring Adam Driver

Bob’s Burgers has historically brought the goods when it comes to holiday episodes, but it looks like this Christmas, the show is going to up the ante: At the show’s Comic-Con panel this weekend, creator Loren Bouchard said that this year’s Bob’s Burgers Christmas special is going to be an hour long (via Entertainment Weekly).

“It should feel almost like a little Christmas movie,” Bouchard said. “It’s kind of epic. It’s got an hourlong feel to it.” Details are scarce at the moment, but he did add that Adam Driver will guest star in the episode.

There’s even more Bob’s Burgers news beyond that: The eighth season premiere probably won’t look a ton like other episodes you’ve seen, because Bouchard said it’s going to be a a “completely fan-drawn episode” that has a “new style in every scene.” Earlier this year, the show reached out to its fans and asked for three types of animations: title sequence animations, background static panel, and character static panel.

“It is crazy-making to watch, but it is also incredible,” he said. “It’s so fun to hear these guys’ words coming out of a different design.”

The panel revealed a couple of other notable tidbits as well. Namely, a Bob’s Burgers couch gag for The Simpsons is currently in the works, and Silicon Valley‘s Thomas Middleditch is going to appear in an episode. How pumped are you for this huge Bob’s Burgers Christmas episode? Or the Simpsons couch gag? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
