Blood Will Flow in GREEN ARROW #50 Preview (Exclusive)

Oliver Queen is a werewolf! (Basically.) We’re sure that’s going to come as a surprise to anyone who hasn’t been reading the Green Arrow ongoing comic book series. But while werewolf isn’t the technical term for Green Arrow’s condition, he’s definitely having some body hair issues and uncontrollable rage. And we’re previewing it all in this exclusive page debut for Green Arrow # 50.

The Lukos virus has ravaged Seattle and transformed hundreds of people into feral Wargs—even Green Arrow fell to the infection, which has jeopardized his secret identity and life. And things are about to get worse in the Emerald City, as the racists calling themselves The Patriots have engineered the prison break of Warg leader, Marrock as a means to further their own agenda. But Marrock has his own plans to spread the Lukos virus and create more of his kind.

And that’s only in the first few pages that DC passed along of Green Arrow # 50, which reveal how Marrock is spreading the virus and ruining Oliver’s attempts to get a handle on the outbreak. For the moment, Oliver has some measure of control over his own affliction…but how long is that going to last? To get a potential cure, the Green Arrow is going up against one of the deadliest individuals in the DC Universe: Deathstroke the Terminator!

“In our anniversary 50th issue, Green Arrow and Deathstroke race across the globe to find the Miracle Man, whose blood can cure any disease! And the Tarantula returns—but even with her assistance, she and Green Arrow are no match for the perfect assassin!”

Green Arrow # 50 hits comic shops on Wednesday, March 15 with a script by Benjamin Percy and art by Szymon Kudranski, with a cover by Patrick Zircher and Gabe Eltaeb, and a Batman v Superman variant cover by Aaron Kuder with Tomeu Morey.
