Nnedi Okorafor is Writing New BLACK PANTHER: LONG LIVE THE KING Comic (EXCLUSIVE)

Excited as we are over the release of the Black Panther movie next year, we’re all trying to get our fill of fantastic Wakandan stories. We’ve been spoiled in the last year with great books by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Roxanne Gay, but today we can exclusively reveal that we have another incredible Black Panther story coming our way from World Fantasy-, Hugo-, and Nebula Award-winning novelist Nnedi Okorafor!

With art and colors by Andre Araujo and Chris O’Halloran Black Panther: Long Live the King will be a biweekly comiXology exclusive, released in December on comiXology and Kindle as part of the comiXology Originals line of exclusive digital content, which is also available to members through the popular comiXology Unlimited. This story will take place in the expansive world of Wakanda that Coates has built up in his ongoing series, and will follow T’Challa as he desperately tries to defend his home from a terrifying new threat.

ComiXology’s Chip Mosher says, “Like Ta-Nehisi Coates and Roxane Gay, Nnedi Okorafor brings her storytelling and world building skills to Wakanda,” about the newest Black Panther scribe. You might know her work from her recent Venom War Stories comic or maybe you’ve read one of her incredible Afrofuturism books like Who Fears Death, or Binti? Whether you’re yet to discover her work or not, you’ll be in for a treat when Black Panther: Long Live the King hits our digital screens on December 13th.

Will you be following T’Challa’s latest adventures in Wakanda? Are you already a fan of Okorafor? Or just need more Black Panther before the movie is released in Feb? Let us know in the comments!
