Black Panther is the gift that keeps on giving. It’s received rave reviews from critics and fans alike. It broke box office records. It’s given us a plethora of new characters we can root for–like Okoye and Shuri. And M’Baku. Both a fierce warrior and a wise-cracking leader, he came out of nowhere to steal every scene he was in. Thanks to the second series of Funko’s Pop! figures in the Black Panther line, we’ll be able to bring M’Baku into our homes.
M’Baku’s the leader of the Jabari tribe who tried to take the throne from T’Challa, only to help him reclaim it. Played by Winston Duke, M’Baku became a fan favorite character over the course of the movie.
Joining M’Baku in this wave of Black Panther Funko toys will be Erik Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan) in his “kingly” garb. While he makes some intriguing points, Killmonger doesn’t really pursue completion of his goals in the most diplomatic of fashions.
Lastly, there is Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis). He was the first villain Black Panther faced in the comics, so having him in the film is apropos. This figure even includes his extremely creepy fake hand which has a sonic gun housed inside.
All three figures will be released in summer 2018, so you’ll be able to sit with them and watch Black Panther on Blu-Ray over and over again.
