BATTLEFIELD 1 Set to Launch This October

EA and DICE have officially revealed their newest first-person shooter, Battlefield 1. It will be available for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 21. However, Xbox One owners who are subscribed to EA Access will get to play it three days prior to launch.

While the title of the game and setting leaked earlier in the day, we now have confirmation that it will indeed take place during WWI. The real news is that unlike what most thought this morning when the information leaked, it will not take place in alternate history. Aside from the fact that it will include a campaign, not much else is known at the moment. Feast your eyes on the gorgeous reveal trailer above.

As absolutely stunning as the action appears to be, there isn’t any gameplay footage yet, so take the impressive visuals with a grain of salt. Still, the team appears confident that their work in the visuals department will outdo their competitors– like this year’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. Check out the deleted tweet from one of the Battlefield development members, Roland Smedberg below (via PlayStation Lifestyle).

He later apologized for even tweeting this out, but I don’t believe he needed to. What’s wrong with a little competition between devs? Things are going to heat up even more later this year when both Call of Duty and Battlefield hit the market. And let’s not forget that Titanfall will also be joining the fray. More footage will come soon, so make sure to stay tuned to the official Battlefield YouTube channel.

What do you guys think about this trailer? Are you more impressed with this, or Infinite Warfare? What first-person shooter are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments below!
