BATMAN V SUPERMAN Is a Lot More Like TOY STORY Than We Realized

A beloved figure is living his secret life as the top dog in his community when a man from space shows up and ruins everything for him. Am I describing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, or am I talking about Pixar’s Toy Story? It doesn’t matter, because it turns out Woody and Batman have a lot in common when Buzz Lightyear and Superman enter their lives.

This fan-cut trailer, titled “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Strange Things,” comes to us from the people behind the YouTube account Bad Movie Drinking Game, and it is set to Randy Newman‘s song from the original Toy Story “Strange Things.” It’s kind of amazing how well the lyrics fit to the plot from the new superhero mega-clash movie.

I was on top of the world, living high
It was right in my pocket
I was living the life
Things were just the way they should be
When from out of the sky like a bomb comes some little punk in a rocket
Now all of a sudden some strange things are happening to me

That’s followed in the trailer by all of the deaths caused by Superman’s fight with Zod in Man of Steel.

I had friends
I had lots of friends
Now all my friends are gone
And I’m doing the best I can to carry on

This has no right making as much sense as it does, but since no one will be surprised when Batman and Superman realize they’re better friends than enemies (I haven’t seen the movie, I’m just assuming) the analogy will be complete.

Oh, and sorry NOT SORRY about getting this song stuck in your head for the rest of the month.

Which part in this trailer was the most spot on? Tell us below.
