Baba Booey on Apple TV, Awards, and a Good Read

Gary Dell’Abate is more than Howard Stern’s faithful producer “Baba Booey,” as Luke’s interview with him earlier today is but one indication, and the Nerdist Channel is giving him a forum to show off his tech and pop culture knowledge on They Call Me Baba Booey, of which this is the debut episode. Each week, Gary will be in his man cave discussing tech for the uninitiated and pop culture both familiar and trivial — if you’ve ever listened to a “Stump the Booey” segment, you know he has a vast store of obscure pop culture knowledge, so expect a lot of that, too.

This week, Gary’s talking about the underappreciated Apple TV, plus the Emmys and a book that people interested in television should check out.

The premiere certainly does have the feel of a G4 Gadget pR0n tech review, plus a Chris Gore like media review. I’m sure this pod will evolve in time, though I like it already. I’m sure some topics will eventually cover camera’s, sound equipment, and other new gadgets. What I would additionally like to see are additional expert usages of these things. Any usage from the mundane to the insane.
