ATTACK ON TITAN Manga Has 3 More Years of Stories

If you don’t know what Attack On Titan is, then you have been willingly avoiding anything to do with anime or manga for quite some time now. Created by Hajime Isayama, the series tells the story of humanity’s last stand against giant man-eating creatures known as Titans. and has been going on for six years now. Acording to a recent interview, Attack on Titan will be going strong for a while.

Speaking with Antenna Magazine, Attack on Titan editor Kawakubo Shintaro commented that there are approximately three years worth of chapters still to be published for the wildly popular manga. This comes on top of a previous statement made by Isayama claiming that the Attack On Titan story was around 60% completed as of the most recently published chapter.

At the onset of the series in 2009, Isayama and Shintaro butted heads over whether the series would be too strange to gain widespread attention, or that its underlying messages would be misunderstood. Their argument would rage on for about a year afterward. Now, six years later, we see the series leading to an internationally beloved anime series, live-action films, a highly anticipated video game adaptation, as well as a theme park attraction at Universal Studio Japan. So, it looks like it was just weird enough for a community of fans that have seen some pretty weird stuff already. Fans should be on the look out for forthcoming chapters to the manga, as well as the second season of the anime which has been announced for release sometime in 2016.

Do you think a nine year run is too short for Attack On Titan? Let us know in the comments below!
