ASSASSIN’S CREED: UNITY Confirmed In This New Trailer

It looks like yesterday’s rumors of a new Assassin’s Creed game have been confirmed, as Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin’s Creed: Unity for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC, coming this holiday season. I know, I know – this is not shocking news by any stretch, though they did at least leave us with a sneak peak at the rooftops we’ll be leaping across this time around:

So I’m guessing since the game is set in the French Revolution, run-ins with the likes of historical figures such as Napoleon Bonaparte are certainly in the cards. Let’s just hope that whatever happens, the game turns out to be more like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag than Assassin’s Creed III.

    Aww, no Xbox 360 🙁

  2. Landis says:

Or they might have two games lined up to give a “full life of an assassin” feel like with Ezio. The first game would be the French Revolution and end when Napoleon gets an apple for himself and declares himself emporer. The second would be focused on the napoleonic wars where the assassin will have to compromise and make peace with anti French interests for the goals of the assassin where, in the first game, he was too brash and passionate and caught up with the revolutionary ideals that he actually helped Napoleon come to power in the revolution. It’s a common theme in Assassin’s Creed where the passion and impetuousness of youth get tempered by experience and tragedy.

  3. Pat says:

French Revolution 1789-1799, Napoleon Bonaparte in power 1804-1815. Only five years after the revolution, and more than close enough for the game to over lap with both.

  4. Michael says:

The French Revolution was 18th century. Napoleon was 19th century. Just sayin’…

    • Malik Forté says:

Yes, but Napoleon’s uprising was connected to the revolution in many ways, happening soon after. Totally could see them rewriting the aftermath, if not in the actual game, in DLC. They’ve done it before (AC III The Tyranny Of King Washington)
