Andrew Garfield Sings Spider-Man Theme Song on THE TONIGHT SHOW

Spider-Man not only does whatever a spider can, he also plays guitar and sings. At least, the Andrew Garfield version of the character does. The actor from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and where there’s Jimmy Fallon, there’s music. It is known.

Once Fallon started discussing Garfield’s guitar-playing skills, an acoustic guitar magically appeared (seriously, what does the instrument storage room for this show look like?). Garfield pointed out he hasn’t played in public before but then proceeded to belt the heck out of the Spider-Man theme from the classic cartoon.

I’m going to have this song in my head for days, and I’m completely okay with that.

What do you think of Garfield’s rendition of the Spidey theme? Let us know in the comments.

Sorry, but around the 2 minute mark, when Garfield stands up, it seems like he’s mime playing the guitar. Chords change, but his fingers don’t move on the neck.

  2. love it! but I too loved the versions from the Raimi movies…

  3. Katy Hayes says:

Yeah, he seems really reluctant to play….interesting how the capo was strategically placed and the strap was the right length….faux modesty I salute thee!

  4. gdkool says:

I prefer the woman on the subway singing and playing in the movie. there was too much noise first the audience joined in then Jimmy Fallon with his tambourine finally the house band, by that time you couldn’t hear Garfield at all.

  5. Sara says:

I can play this on the ukulele. Always a fave. He does a very good job!
