All the News from Today’s Apple Event

Apple held their semi-annual “Town Hall” event this week and revealed a few routine updates to their products: an iOS update, a new medium-sized iPad pro, and a price reduction for the Apple Watch, among others. But what about iPhone? Yes, we usually only get iPhone updates once per year at the big fall event (can’t wait to get an iPhone 7 for Christmas 2016), but Tim Cook has a few tricks up his sleeve right now, unveiling an entirely new iPhone product. It’s not an iPhone 6c, it’s not an iPhone 7, it’s the iPhone SE, no numerical value needed! Instead of bigger and better, we’re getting a smaller and better phone: at four inches long, it’s the same size as the iPhone 5, but it has the insides and features of an iPhone 6.

Join Jessica Chobot as we discuss the newly announced iPhone SE, the features it boasts, and whether or not we thinking releasing a smaller smartphone is a smart move for Apple, on today’s Nerdist News.

Thanks for watching today’s show! If you didn’t already know, the whole crew from Nerdist will be at WonderCon this weekend! Come say hello if you’ll be at the convention, and follow along for all of our coverage this weekend!

Do you want a bigger iPhone 7? Do you think Apple is losing their luster? Let us know in the comments if you think the 4-inch iPhone is a welcome addition to the Apple family.
