There is 67-year-old granny from Canada who fronts her own grindcore band under the alias, “The Grindmother.”

Her above debut single is so inscrutable that it’s incredibly watchable–your eyes will be glued to this bizarre performance as she thrashes, snarls, and screams her way through her brutal tune, “Any Cost”. When her jaw drops open it sort of looks like she’s smiling, which adds to the menacing creepiness of the entire affair.

The Grindmother got into this weird scene from her son, who’s a member of the band, Corrupt Leaders. Now she’s got her own gig as the world’s first sexagenarian hardcore frontwoman. This proves that you are never too old for rock ‘n’roll. Now all we need is for the Grindmother to duet with Ozzy Osbourne, and we’ll be content.

In summation, the Grindmother is pretty rad. Check out her sweet-natured mommy side in the below video, where she diligently practices her insanity.

You can keep up to date (because I know you’re curious) with the Grindmother’s shenanigans via her Facebook page. The most pressing question is, when will she have a full-length album and a tour? Not gonna lie, I for one would love to witness this phenomenon up close and personal. I might even bring my mom along, or my grandma! Perhaps they’ll pick up a few tricks.
