ALICE IN WONDERLAND Recut as a Horror Film Is Very Creepy

A young girl falls down a dark hole and finds herself alone and lost in a terrifying forest full of strange and horrible creatures. She is surrounded by madmen, and is forced to flee a crazy queen that wants to remove her pretty little head from her pretty little neck. It sounds like it could be a new, trippy horror film released this month, but it’s actually Disney’s 1951 classic Alice in Wonderland, just with more ominous music and creepier editing.

The folks at Mashable Watercooler have re-imagined the classic Disney cartoon as a horror movie in their latest installment of Trailer Mix, where they present classic films as being a totally different genre.

While no one would classify the film as a horror movie, the premise of Alice in Wonderland is already pretty frightening. It is a Disney cartoon that feels like a bad acid trip, one full of terrifying monsters, designed to make little kids sleep in their parents bed for a month. It would have been even weirder to imagine this movie as a feel good, light-hearted romp for the whole family.

I mean, don’t we already know what kind of terror this story is capable of bringing on to mankind?

Oh god! Oh god won’t somebody think of the children! Kill it!

Sorry. That photo just really scares me.

Anyway, make sure you check out their page to see past installments, and head down to our comments section below to tell us into what genre you would have tried to recut Alice in Wonderland.
