Adele’s Isolated Vocal Track from ‘SNL’ Performance is Flawless

We’re not sure if you’ve heard, but that new Adele song, “Hello,” is pretty good, and that is largely because Adele is a good singer–very good, even. She brought the house down with her recent performance of the track on Saturday Night Live. Today, somebody shared a video featuring the isolated vocal track, and the clip proves that Adele’s vocal chords might be England’s most precious export.

The song is haunting in its original arrangement, but hearing the reverb of Adele’s perfect vocal take adds an unquantifiable sense of power and mysticism to the track. It’s been a long time since 21, but it would seem that the wait has been worth it, and that Adele hasn’t lost a step.

This isn’t technically true a capella, since the bass and some percussive elements are still audible, but it does make us imagine what a super minimalist Adele lounge jazz album would be like.  And now that this idea is out of the bag, don’t be surprised when a Change.org petition pops up that demands it come to fruition.

If this isn’t enough to make you faint, don’t forget that Adele totally wants to do a remix of “Hotline Bling” with Drake, so what we’re saying is be prepared for the internet, and every other communication technology, to be broken beyond repair.

Watch the video below, and let us know in the comments if Adele is actually capable of doing wrong. Spoiler: she’s not.
