“Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” Teaser Trailer

The tagline should be “He’ll emancipate the shit out of evil.” Here’s the first glimpse of director Timur Bekmambetov’s adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s mashup novel of the same name. Bekmambetov directed Night Watch, Day Watch, and Wanted, and seems he’s bringing the exact same visual style and crazy, frenetic action to this movie. It’s scheduled for release Jun 22 and despite it being in 3D (can we just not already?), this trailer makes me quite excited to see it.

    this looks freaking incredimazeballs

  2. Lucy says:

I quite liked the book and based on this trailer I think I will quite like the movie too. Yay!

  3. Abbey says:

    Looking forward to the movie.

Lincoln killing vampires is in itself a completely silly concept, and then when the book delivered it in such a serious way it just added to the silly-ness and it was enjoyable. This is the same thing. Anyone who expects anything more than what is right in the title of he movie is going to be sorely disappointed.

  4. The Lincoln Memorial is in it for a reason…hehe! I enjoyed the book. It’s a fun movie, not a documentary, and should be treated as such.

  5. Jeff says:

Lincoln blew donkey balls as president and will blow donkey balls as a vampire hunter. I will not be watching this trailer, let alone the movie.

  6. Jill Tooley says:

This is either going to be the most phenomenal movie I’ve ever seen or it’s going to be utter garbage. Either way, I’d shell out the dough to see it. This is the first time I’ve seen the trailer…I have to admit I’m intrigued!

  7. Dimitri says:

Great clip I cannot wait to see this movie and I don’t think we should be arguing historical accuracy in a movie where Abe Lincoln is a vampire hunter. It just seems pointless to argue why they’re using something out of historical context when the whole story is fiction.

  8. Clueless Neophyte says:

Oops–I meant “begun before the Civil War”.

  9. Clueless Neophyte says:

Why would the clip include a shot of Washington DC with the Washington Monument (begun before but completed in 1884) & the Lincoln Memorial, built in the 1920s? Anyways, this could be stupid fun, or just stupid. We’ll see….
