A CURE FOR WELLNESS Trailer Asks If Dane DeHaan Is Going Mad

Early next year, director Gore Verbinski is revisiting his horror roots in A Cure for Wellness, and he’s dragging Dane DeHaan along with him. A new trailer for the film has been released, and it looks like Verbinski could be taking a turn for the Cronenberg with a little body horror and a mind-bending story.

DeHaan stars in the film as Mr. Lockhart, a young executive on the rise, who learns that the CEO of his company has seemingly gone insane and retreated to a “wellness center” in the Swiss Alps. But when Lockhart attempts to retrieve his boss from the center, he finds himself trapped within after a brutal accident and an unfortunate diagnosis from the director of the center, as played by Jason Isaacs.

Judging from the footage alone, it’s difficult to tell how much of Lockhart’s journey is real or if the bizarre circumstances of his stay are simply within his own mind. Because if Lockhart isn’t going crazy, then it means that something very unnatural is happening within the center, and he may not be able to escape with his wits or body intact.

The new poster for the film has also been released, which features a look at the trailer’s signature moment as Mia Goth‘s character lies in a bathtub full of snakes. We’re pretty sure that treatment wasn’t a part of the brochure!
