Welcome to The Dan Cave! Are you a handsome Hollywood leading man? No? Well, you could have fooled me! You look great.
With a title like Suicide Squad, an enhanced mortality rate is to be expected, but actors are already dropping out of the Warner Bros. adaptation of the classic DC Comics series. Well, one actor specifically: Tom Hardy, who was going to play the group’s leader, Rick Flag. Other actors have merely passed on the role for one reason or another. Still, the question remains as to who will suit up to lead Amanda Waller’s ragtag group of supervillainous scum to battle in the 2016 David Ayer-directed film.
While recent reports have floated names like The Walking Dead‘s Jon Bernthal and Dredd‘s Karl Urban, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a list of 9 actors who could theoretically replace Tom Hardy in Suicide Squad. Remember — this is Hollywood, so anything can happen.
