Zachary Quinto Invites You to the Trailer for “Breakup at a Wedding”

Hot on the heels of our announcement last week of the L.A. premiere of Breakup at a Wedding and how you can attend, here’s the full trailer for the movie, which, as we’ve established, is from our friends at PERIODS. films, the people behind web series like Lil Women, Viking Wives, and Big City Bright Lights, and Oscilloscope Laboratories. We’ve also told you that the movie was co-produced by Zachary Quinto, and he’s here in this video to introduce the trailer. The trailer itself nicely sets up the premise: A wedding video crew documents the insanity at what becomes a sham wedding of a couple that broke up just before the ceremony and couldn’t bring themselves to call the whole thing off, and things get worse from there. There’s promiscuity, streaking, and a Lucha Libre mask, among other things. Isn’t every wedding like that?

The movie will have a formal L.A. premiere on Thursday (6/20) and you can still try to get in on that, because PERIODS., Oscilloscope, Nerdist Industries, and the Nerdist Alliance have teamed up to offer a limited number of free tickets to the event, which is at the Downtown Independent theater (251 S, Main Street, L.A.) at 9:30 pm with a reception to follow. In case you missed it the first time, here’s the deal: First, if you want to attend, click here to RSVP. And then, on Thursday, please show up early, because an RSVP does not guarantee admission; Seating is limited and is on a first-come, first served basis, so get there at least 30 minutes before the start time. And, yes, co-writer and co-star Philip Quinaz is an ordained minister and will be performing marriage services at the reception. So it’s going to be sort of a real wedding reception, but without the stuff in the movie. Or maybe just like the movie. It’s up to you, I guess.

And whether or not you can attend, you’ll find the movie available on demand or via digital download. Get all the information you need by clicking here.

You’re also invited to subscribe to the Nerdist Channel now. You don’t even have to bring a gift.
