Saturday, September 17th at 8pm, it’s The Halo Show!

Join Capt. Dope (Colton Dunn), Dude of Earl (Ian Wolterstorff) and their Xbox live friends for a night of fan appreciation of Halo: Reach.  From rockets to jet packs to armor lock to shotguns, we’ll take you through the world of Bungie’s Halo: Reach one sticky at a time.  If you love Halo, you have to see this show. With special guests Kumail Nanjiani (The Indoor Kids podcast), Rileah Vanderbilt (Team Unicorn, The Guild), Adam Green (director of Hatchet, Hatchet 2, and Frozen), Clare Grant (Team Unicorn), Nathan Fillion (Castle, Firefly, Halo: ODST), and other surprise guests whose voices you may recognize…

On Sunday, September 18th at 5pm, it’s the Nerdist Writers Panel!

Spend your Sunday afternoons learning from the best at the Nerdist Writing Panel! Join moderator Ben Blacker as he hosts esteemed panelists discussing topics like different types of writing, how they got started, what inspires them, the business side of writing, and more. Panelists will also answer your questions and give some helpful tips and tricks! This series is a must for any hopeful writer in LA, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit 826LA.

Matt Mira of the Nerdist Podcast needs a Day Off, so we decided to give him Sundays at Nerdist Theater. Come watch Mira and Paul Cibis host this comedy free-for-all. You’ll see brand new comics, comics you know and love trying out new material (Chris Hardwick and Kumail Nanjiani have both dropped in), and the magic that is live comedy.

Monday, September 19th at 8:30pm (note the time), it’s The SXSW Showcase Show!

South by Southwest is an amazing festival for comedy, and at this show, you’ll see some of the hottest “about to pop” comics of LA as they showcase for a chance to perform there! Hosted by Pete Holmes, this showcase will feature MC Mr Napkins, Jonah Ray, Tom Segura, Tyler Greene, DC Pierson, and more!

$8 in advance, $10 at the door!

Tuesday, September 20th at 8pm, Greg Proops broadcasts his podcast “The Smartest Man in the World” LIVE!


Kittens! Greg Proops’ popular freewheeling podcast The Smartest Man in the World, now recorded in front of a live audience at NerdMelt! Questions may be entertained from the audience.

On Wednesday, September 21st at 8:30pm, we have The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail!

Our popular weekly standup show, hosted by Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani, welcomes Mike Phirman, Ali Wong, Dave Ross, Patrick Keane, Tommy Johnagin, and Nick Kroll! Last week Louie CK dropped in for a surprise set; You never know who you’ll see at The Meltdown!

Finally on Thursday, September 22nd at 8pm, we have Captured Aural Phantasy!

Captured Aural Phantasy Theater brings its Spectacular Superhero Variety Hour down to Earth! Celebrate the antics of the defenders of truth and justice as the Captured Aural Phantasy players interpret nuggets of pop culture straight from the height of the Silver Age. Revel to live, dramatic readings of vintage comic book stories including one that sees a famous superheroine start college! Plus, watch what happens as an entire city laughs at a super-villain’s…um, not-so-super “weapon.” In between, enjoy comedic bits, music, singing, art and special surprises pulled from mid-century comic culture. It’s an evening of entertainment with a capital E!
