Your Favorite LEGO Characters Enter the Real World in This Fantastic Gallery

When I was younger and was given my first set of LEGO to play with, all that came in the package were the bricks and the instructions on how to build a plane (or whatever it was). It wasn’t until years later that the licensing craze took over and you could create a Star Destroyer, the Batmobile, or the Quinjet. We CERTAINLY didn’t get cool action figures to go with them. Not only can you build these awesome vehicles or playsets, but you can actually have your favorite characters utilize them.

For French photographer Samsofy, the boundaries of the LEGO world were not good enough for him, so he decided to break through and has created a gallery of LEGO characters in the real world. Batman, Superman, Gandalf, Wolverine, and Magneto are among some of the famous characters he has used for his photos.

Samsofy has a keen eye for depth perception, as seen by this Bart Simpson picture, where Bart is about to embark on an extreme skateboard adventure.

Bart Simpson

This is my favorite picture, depicting R2-D2 and C-3PO approaching what I believe is a museum of some sort, but the way the photograph is taken makes it look like they are about to enter a place as dangerous as Jabba’s palace.

You can view the rest of Samsofy’s pictures in the gallery below, and see more of his art at his website here.

Which one of these pictures was your favorite? Did you get your creative juices flowing and come up with your own ideas? What character would you want the photographer to include next? Let me know on Twitter or in the comments below.
