Couldn’t listen to this guy after he claimed to remember his first birthday…..: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Childhood_amnesia

I have loved you from the beginning Pete!!!  I still do and always will.  But lately when I hear you talk about food I think about the term orthorexia.  You might want to check into it.  I am recovering from it myself for the past 2 years, so I bring this up with ultimate compassion.  Love you much, your #1 weirdo.

  3. Dri S. says:

Pete, you’re a nice guy, and nutrition is something to be talked about and concerned about in society these days. But its also something you can enjoy. Honestly, if you want to be a raw vegan that is awesome. But you can still live healthily and eat meat. On top of that, psychologically, its terrible to constantly be depriving yourself of something. Thats why they talk about having balance in life in general. Even talking about thousands of cows being in one piece of meat sounds like you’re shaming someone whose into it still. I don’t know, I’m not into that mentality.

I’ve listened to every single one of your podcasts and have grown to love you as a person but lately I feel like its been so preachy on these subjects. Just my opinion. I still think you’re so interesting and awesome. Definitely still will keep listening.

  4. Kettin says:

Since this show I have not been able to drink milk.. I may never go back!!

  5. Erin says:

I really liked this one! van story was my favorite

  6. Jamjo says:

I’m all for nutrition-talk but this was hardly that. These 2 cats sound like their carnivorous friends offend/repulse them. If either of them was bullied in the past by some meat eating ruffians, allow me to apologize on their behalf. This was a bit of a frustrating episode. I’m gonna go cry into a steak now.
I also can’t imagine living life in the futile attempt to escape carcinogens. Sure, don’t chainsmoke a box of cigars but every carbon-based organism that live long enough WILL get some sort of cancer.

  8. Adam S says:

Solid ep. Listening to you guys makes me want to start doing stand up… But I’ll leave the hard van living to pros like Dave.

  9. Doug Hardy says:

I had heard your piece on the Nerdist podcast so thought I would check out your native one. Holy shit I think I picked the worst week ever to start. My stepmother is vegetarian (but still eats dairy) and father occasionally eats fish (rarely) but I seriously cannot understand veganism whatsoever. Oh well. Maybe I’ll try another one.

  10. John Beid says:

Hello Mr.Holmes. I enjoy your podcast and your overall body of work.

I have a suggestion, if I may. Why not invite Miss Grace Helbig?

    BEST WISHES

  11. Laura says:

I honestly never get enough of the PH nutrition talk! It consistently makes me jazzed. Also, being vegan is the best, and if you want to cheat with something junky-ish, you can always have better for you treats that will satisfy the need for junk.  If you have a few vegan friends, that makes it so much better, especially in the beginning. Pete, you will need this if you keep up the vegan-ness, which I hope you do –
http://vegansaurus.com/post/254784826/defensive-omnivore-bingo , because people will always say the same stuff to you, you just get better at knowing when to engage with it.
(Also, just for the record, I have been vegan for 12 years, and i work in an office and have zero friends named Moon Beam. 🙂
