You Made It Weird #101: Jessica St. Clair

Jessica St Clair (NBC’s Best Friends Forever! UCB! Best Week Ever!) is one of Pete’s absolute favorite people: hilarious, thoughtful, and they even look kind of related. Just such a fun recording of two gals gabbin’ like gals, but one of them is a dude. Who loves gabbin’. Please enjoy, weirdos!!

  1. James Craig says:

When a person comes out of dense darkness into the light, his eyes will likely need a little time to adjust. At Bethsaida, Jesus cured a blind man but kindly did so in stages. “He took the blind man by the hand, brought him outside the village, and, having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him and began to ask him: ‘Do you see anything?’ And the man looked up and began saying: ‘I see men, because I observe what seem to be trees, but they are walking about.’ Then he laid his hands again upon the man’s eyes, and the man saw clearly, and he was restored, and he was seeing everything distinctly.” (Mark 8:23-25) Apparently, Jesus restored the man’s sight gradually so that the man could adjust himself to the bright sunlight. We can imagine the joy of that man when he was able to see.

  2. Patty Marvel says:

Don’t know about the diddling, but it was Mia Farrow’s sister, Prudence, who studied under Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. AND John Lennon wrote a song about her.

  3. Jillian says:

    Aww, Jason is Jessica’s Chelsea.

  4. This episode smells like hogeys and women’s vaginas…

  5. Driver says:

“Buckre up” and the whole driver story made me laugh to the point of tears! Classic episode!

  6. nph says:

    What a wonderful podcast.

Id love to hear a podcast with both Jessica St Clair & Lennon

  7. Lisa says:

CAN I PLEASE COME TO PETEYPALOOZA?! I want to live on a commune real bad, too.

  8. Danielle says:

Grummy was totally worth it! I was literally in tears! Such a great episode; definitely one of my faves

  9. John G. says:

I’m right there with you, Pete. I want that commune so bad. I want the one main house with the separate houses for private space, all on the same big property. If you and Kumail and Emily were there, it would be so great. A month of that, and I could die happy.

    Never eat your kale alone!

  10. A says:

I just got the title. “You Made It Weird” is an accusation.

  11. Seth says:

Odd thing I noticed, the timestamp on this page says its 2:69:57. What kind of crazy time system are you guys using over there? It does seem to be a typo since my phone says the show is 2:09:57, so did you make someone manually type the length of the show?? POOR KATIE

  12. Bob says:

Awesome show! I’ve always been really interested in Trancendental Meditation, but I’m turned off by the fact that it costs a lot of money to learn. Why would something that’s seems so helpful be so expensive? Bummer.

  13. Danny says:

Donald Rumsfeld actually ran the company that invented aspartame. He just knew some people at the FDA.

  14. Liam says:

    WOMP IT UP!

I <3 Jessica St Clair, this episode was great

  15. Alec says:

‘Not being able to get out of astral projection’ sounds like a nasty case of sleep paralysis.

  16. Jordan says:

    “Interesting!”

  17. Brett says:

Pete how the fuck did you not like Argo?

  18. laura says:

    BUT, anti-girl on top? Trag-ic.

  19. oldjockstraps says:

Great Episode. Could only have been better had Gil been thrown into the mix.

Love Jess and Loved BFF…was always surprised more comedians didn’t seem to support it.

  20. Laura says:

This episode was so good I removed two bricks from my towering heart wall. I love the girl talk episodes!

& Don’t unveganize Peetie-palooza! You should definately be making artisan vegan cheeses with your vegan chef.

  21. Mark says:

Jessica S.C. has the sharpness of Chelsea P. and the charm of Janet V. What a joy.

  22. Gibbelstein says:

Still listening and it is hilarious.

But you might have to fight Dave Holmes for that “Good For Gay” segment though:

  23. Geoff says:

    @Manny

Pete was on Mutant Season. At times, it felt like ‘You Make it Weird w/ Gil’

  24. Manny says:

Interview Gil from the Mutant Season! How the heck did that kid get a podcast? Anyways I bet Pete would be great with children and I think the episode would be adorable. You should make it a bonus episode that isn’t that long.

  25. laurabandypants says:

I ADORE Jessica St. Clair! Looking forward to this interview — I watched all of the Best Friends Forever episodes in triplicate — hilarious. Why can’t the world let us have nice things? Why did NBC take that show away from us? Why Why Why.

So glad you’re having her on the show, Pete Holmes — comic delight.

  26. FOS says:

We need Jessica, Lennon and Jason on a live show. MAKE IT HAPPPEN PETE!!

  27. MrHappy says:

    Whomp up the JAMZ!
