You Can Make Your Own FALLOUT Pip-Boy Right Now

Sure, you could let the fact that Bethesda is unable to produce anymore Pip-Boy Editions of Fallout 4 get you down. You could let November 10 roll around without a charming vessel for your Fallout 4 second screen functionality. Or, you could oppose the slings and arrows of your outrageous pre-order fortune, and… make one for your damn self! I think one esteemed gentleman by the name of Shia Labeouf put it best:

And making this happen is easier than you think, thanks to YouTube user YTec3D. This guy constructed a blueprint for making a 3D-printed Pip-Boy 3000 of your own, complete with a tape deck to play your Awesome Mix cassettes. This version of the Pip-Boy actually seems handier than Bethesda’s when you factor in its ability to hold phones of varying sizes.

All it takes is a batch of common electric parts and YTec’s components list, and you’ll be well on your way to beating that Collector’s Edition pre-order shortage. What better way to prepare for alltw the weapon customization and outpost crafting you’ll be engaging in when Fallout 4 hits this fall?

Are you going to take a stab at making your a Pip-Boy of your own? Tell us whether you prefer this over Bethesda’s version in the comments below.
