The endgame for Star Wars Rebels season 2 is fast approaching. There are only three episodes left before the two-part season finale, andâby the looks of this new clipâthere are some epic, Yoda-filled moments ahead.
Next weekâs episode of Star Wars Rebels is called “Shroud of Darkness,” and it follows Kanan, Ezra, and Ahsoka on a dangerous journey back to the Jedi Temple on Lothal as they seek answers about the Inquisitors’ ability to track them. Last season, Ezra was briefly able to speak with Yoda through the Force. But in the new preview scene from “Shroud of Darkness,” Frank Oz reprises his iconic role once again as Yoda so that he and Ezra finally come face-to-face.
The scene also offers some insight into Ahsoka’s memories of Yoda, and she appears to be surprised by Ezra’s sudden disappearance from the temple. There’s are also strong hints that Ahsoka will experience a Force vision of her own, as Matt Lanter is also slated to guest star in “Shroud of Darkness” as Anakin Skywalker, the role he played in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Although she has never vocalized her suspicion, the second season premiere of Star Wars Rebels hinted that Ahsoka realized Darth Vader was once her master Anakin. And a showdown between the master and the apprentice is inevitable before the season comes to a close.
But who will Kanan see in his Force visions? Will we finally get to meet his Jedi master, Depa Billaba?
Star Wars Rebels season 2 continues this Tuesday, March 2 on Disney XD.
