Yes! Another GAME OF THRONES Character is Returning in Season 6

Alright, here we go: another Game of Thrones post, another warning about the major spoilers that lie within here when it comes to season six. If you haven’t read the books or prefer to know nothing about what’s to come during this largely uncharted season (allegedly!), turn away now. MMKAY?

Phew, glad that’s over and done with—now let’s get down to business. After yesterday’s reveal that Brynden “The Blackfish” Tully was spotted on set, we’ve got word from Los Siete Reinos, the same Spanish fan site, that his nephew and Catelyn’s brother, Edmure Tully, is also in town. That’s right: everyone’s favorite dual-character from Outlander, Tobias Menzies, is also slated to return in season six, essentially confirming that the siege of Riverrun is on like the Westerosi equivalent of Donkey Kong.

When we last saw poor, wimpy Edmure, he was en route to bed his new Frey wife seconds before the Red Wedding went down. (It also just so happens to be the last time we saw The Blackfish, too.) For book readers, you know where poor Edmure pops up next: the gallows. Standing around whilst a near-battle goes on around him, Edmure stands with a noose around his neck, hoping not to slip and fall (and, y’know, die). Not a great look for the current heir of House Tully, amirite?

And speaking of House Tully, we can’t help but think: could the siege at Riverrun be where we FINALLY see the arrival of a certain—wait for it!— LADY STONEHEART?! Oh snap, crackle, and pop, we sure hope so:
