Things Get Saucy When Other Characters Sub in for THE JUNGLE BOOK’s Shere Khan

George Sanders’ smooth-talking Shere Khan from 1967’s The Jungle Book still stands as one of the most charming yet terrifying villains of all time, which is why most would be eaten up trying to replace him in the role. Fortunately we found the right women for the job, the super talented voice actress Kari Wahlgren, and she brought along three of her best characters to fill in for our favorite Bengal tiger.

In this clip from the latest episode of our Alpha series Talkin’ Toons, host Rob Paulsen welcomed Kari Wahlgren to help him read a scene between Shere Khan and the inept python Kaa. He took over for the serpent (who suddenly developed a permanent head cold), and Wahlgren filled in for Khan with three of her characters: Haruko Haruhara from FLCL, Little Suzy from Phineas and Ferb, and X-Men‘s Emma Frost.

Never in the history of Talkin’ Toons has an episode gone from kid-friendly to something that should probably air at 2:00 a.m. on a Saturday on Showtime so quickly.

But you can watch full episodes of Talkin’ Toons any time you want at our online Alpha community, where we have lots of other great shows for you to enjoy too. (But none of them are as tantalizing as Emma Frost as a Bengal Tiger.) If you’re not already an Alpha member, your first 30 days are free when you sign up. Now that is one attractive offer.

Which of these characters made for the best Shere Khan replacement? Give voice to your best answer in our comments below.
