X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Imagined With a DEADPOOL-Inspired Hard R Rating

“This is 20th Century Fox. We had a nice thing going, huh? We made X-Men movies, and everyone was happy. But then Deadpool happened, and we learned something. Something important: you people are sick ******* freaks.”

They are not wrong. Deadpool did make a ****-ton of money. So much money that it was an inevitability that some other superhero films were going to follow his ****ing lead and go all in on the violence, sex, and swearing. We just didn’t expect it to be the ****ing X-Men that did it.

As much as you might really want to see this take on X-Men: Apocalypse from Fox, this is actually the work of the folks over at Wired, who tried to imagine what a NSFW version of the film might look like. For one, it really changes the whole dynamic between Professor Xavier and Raven/Mystique. Are they going to get it on or not? We guess “yes.”

We also would imagine that this version of the movie would include a flashback to show Magneto and Quicksilver’s mom…uh…well…you get the idea.

The real X-Men: Apocalypse, with its PG-13 rating, finally opens in the U.S. today, May 27, and while it might not look or sound like Deadpool, it’ll probably make a lot of money anyway. According to our own Kyle Anderson, it’s a fairly entertaining time at the theater.

But if it doesn’t, we can expect the next one to be titled X-Rated-Men.

Would you like to see an X-Men movie with an R rating? Tell us why in the comments below. And check out our chat with the X-Men: Apocalypse cast on the very worst mutant powers imaginable.
