BAMF! That’s the sound of everyone’s favorite elfin blue mutant teleporting into Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse. The director revealed via Instagram that the part of Kurt Wagner, a.k.a. Nightcrawler, would be played by Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road, Let Me In).
Smit-McPhee is the latest addition to an ever-growing cast that includes Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse. This casting is also welcome news for X-Men fans who’ve missed seeing Nightcrawler on the big screen since Alan Cumming portrayed him in X2: X-Men United.

Good for the kid but frankly Alan Cumming looks pretty much the same as he always has so he could have still played the character.
His eyes are far apart.
I love Nightcrawler, so I’m happy that he’ll return.
But please………. why of all people THIS KID..? He doesn’t look Nightcrawler. At all. The make-up, CGI-and-special-effects-team got their work cut out for them.
Yuck.

He’s played by Channing Tatum. They confirmed that almost right after Age of Apocalypse was announced.
Yeah, but he’s getting his own solo movie. Gambit won’t be in Apocalypse.
